7 Healthy hair habits you need to know!

If your daily routine is causing hair breakage or thinning, it’s time to change things up. Great hair starts with great hair care habits. Follow these 7 easy steps for your healthy hair:

  1. Go for looser styles

Tight hairstyles like a bun or ponytail may cause hair shaft damage that could lead to hair loss, and this kind of hair loss traction is called alopecia.

Constant pulling, can cause permanent damage to the follicle, resulting in hair loss.

Consider a headband or keep the elastic as loos as possible.

  2. Healthy balanced diet

You already probably know, that you are what you eat.
Eating healthy is good for you in a number of ways, a well balanced diet can also help your hair.

You can add these to your list:
    *Fish
    *Meat
    *Nuts
    *Eggs
    *Beans
    *Poultry
    *Oatmeals
  1. Select the right shampoo

What you put on your hair matters, too.
In fact, there are shampoos that may thicken hair and even stimulate hair growth, or products that are specifically designed to work with your hair type.

One of the most important steps in keeping your hair healthy begins with using a sulfate-free shampoo daily, or at least every other day.

Sulfates, which are detergents found in many shampoos, can weaken hair follicles over time, making your hair susceptible to breakage and the appearance of thinning.

If you have color treated hair, it’s especially important to avoid sulfates because they can pull the pigment from your strands.

Sulfate–free shampoos gently clean your hair and scalp to provide the right environment for healthy hair growth by removing excess sebum and debris.

  2. Avoid heat styling when possible

High temperatures of your styling tools can weaken and damage your hair, leading to hair loss.

When it comes to a healthy hair routine, be sure to use a heat protectant before you apply heat to your hair to defend from future damage.

  3. Deep condition with care

It’s important to make sure your scalp gets hydration as well.

Conditioner is something that you should use every time you wash to restore moisture to your strands

  4. Brush correctly

Some things to avoid are brushing from the root to the tip, as this rips hair out of the follicle; brushing when wet; brushing too often, using the wrong brush (you should be using natural boar bristles which are gentler and better at distributing oils), and using dirty brushes that get clogged up with stray hairs and product buildup.

  5. Avoid hot showers

Rinsing your scalp with extremely hot water will dry out your hair and create tangles that lead to breakage, also leads to dandruff, irritation and itchiness.

It damages the texture of your hair which results in breakage and brittleness.

People typically lose 50 to 100 hairs a day. This usually isn't noticeable because new hair is growing in at the same time. Hair loss occurs when new hair doesn't replace the hair that has fallen out.
